Description
One Plan is a task manager for employees of an Australian company specializing in aircraft construction. The application allows:
- centrally supervise the distribution of tasks among employees
- control the progress of work
- create schedules
- track productivity
At the moment, we’ve analyzed the project and developed a plan for its realization.
Main task
The client’s idea was to create a simple and easy-to-understand application for an aviation enterprise, capable of tracking employee workload. At the moment, the clients use an off-the-shelf application based on Oracle JDE, but it was quite complicated to understand and lacked some functional elements. Employees had to spend a lot of time figuring it out, because the logic of the application was not very clear to an unfamiliar user.
We had to create a clear and convenient architectural model of the future project based on the wishes of the client and to develop the design.
Work process
Work on the project began with gathering the client’s requirements and working out the architecture. Then we began to formalize the analytics and design the project. An important condition was to consider the interaction of the future application with the JDE system which the company currently uses.
Results
We developed the design and specification of the task manager for an aviation company which met all the requirements of the client:
- intuitive (the employer and employee do not have to think about where to click next);
- aesthetically pleasant for the user’s eye;
- informative (now the workload of employees can be tracked by the percentage ratio).
